Refund and return policy

1. Nature of the products — no general refunds
The devices and accessories we sell are specialty goods (including made-to-order, presale, and build-to-spec workflows). Once an order is confirmed and payment or a deposit is received, we generally do not offer refunds for change of mind, buyer error, or because of the nature of the hardware (which often cannot be returned in an “unopened consumer goods” condition). By placing an order you acknowledge that our return policy is limited as set out below and does not create a broad refund entitlement except where mandatory law or a confirmed manufacturing defect applies.
2. Presale, builds, and assembly
For presale items or products that require assembly, configuration, or custom work before shipment: • We may require a deposit or partial payment before work begins. • After work has started or the unit has been built for you, the order is considered non-cancellable for “I no longer want it” reasons. • Presale timelines and payment milestones are shown on the product page or in your order confirmation. If you cancel before work begins and the product listing or law allows, we may discuss store credit or a partial refund on a case-by-case basis.
3. Return window: 1 day from delivery (when explicitly offered)
In the rare cases where we explicitly offer a return for a specific SKU (for example, only unused items in unopened retail packaging, if stated on the listing), the window is 1 (one) calendar day from the delivery date. You must email info@straybit.io with your tracking number within that window. After it expires, return requests are declined except for manufacturing defects under section 4. When a return is allowed, the product must be unused, in original packaging, with all accessories; return shipping is normally the buyer’s responsibility.
4. Manufacturing defects
If an item has a documented manufacturing defect within any stated warranty period: • Email info@straybit.io promptly with photos and your tracking number. • After verification we may offer repair, replacement, or refund according to that product’s policy. This does not cover unlawful use, tampering, or misuse.
